Master

As an electrician you qualify to write the Master Electrician’s License exam with 3 years experience as a (n) :

→	Construction and Maintenance electrician with a Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) or
→	Domestic and Rural electrician with a Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) or
→	Industrial electrician with a Certificate of Qualification (C of Q)

As a Powerline Technician you qualify  to write the Master Electrician’s License  exam with three years experience as a:

→	Powerline Technician with a Certificate of Qualification ( C of Q)

As an Engineer, Technician, or Technologist you qualify to write the Master Electrician’s License exam with 3 years experience as a(n):

→	P. Eng. registered with the PEO, or
→	CET registered with the OACETT, or
→	C. Tech registered with the OACETT

You need a Master Electrician License:

→	to operate an Electrical Contracting Business
→	to be employed as a Designated Master Electrician for an Electrical Contracting Business
→	to attain a Master’s level of electrical, legal and business Knowledge

Engineers, Technicians and Technologists are eligible for a Master Electricians License in Ontario.  For other Provinces or Territories please verify the specific requirements with your local safety authority office.
